Senior Mechanical Engineer

A leading company in the field of hybrid propulsion systems, specializing in cutting-edge technologies for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and drones, is seeking a Hands-On Hybrid Propulsion Engineer to join our development team. This role involves active participation in all stages of development and testing, mechanical design of engine components and propulsion systems, and creative design solutions for an innovative product. There is potential for growth into a team leadership position as the company and team expand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical design and development of engine components and hybrid propulsion systems for UAVs and drones.
• Hands-On involvement in all project phases: from initial design, through testing and engine trials (in the lab or field), to integration with software and electronics teams.
• Leading projects and tackling technical challenges, including developing innovative and creative design solutions for cutting-edge products.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electronics, CAD, software, etc.) to achieve development objectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering – mandatory.
• Five years experience in mechanical design in the defense sector and the UAV field – mandatory.
• Previous experience with internal combustion engines – a significant advantage.
• Experience in electromechanical systems (e.g., power generation systems) – an advantage.

Required Skills:

• Hands-On approach: active participation in system testing processes.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Strong design and execution capabilities, with an emphasis on detailed mechanical design of engine components.
• Very high proficiency in SolidWorks, including product component management.
• Problem-solving abilities and creativity in defining and developing new systems.
• Leadership and managerial potential.
