Located in the Central District within short walking distance of a primary train hub, operating on a hybrid model with two days working from home.

Role Description-

• Serving as a Senior Data Platform / Backend Software Engineer, joining the core Data Platform engineering squad and reporting directly to the Team Lead.
• Architecting, developing, and scaling the company’s mission-critical data backbone, building high-throughput data pipelines and cloud-native microservices primarily in Java (with components in Go).
• Engineering resilient distributed systems capable of processing over 1,000,000 records per second at ultra-low latency.
• Designing and implementing real-time streaming architectures, event-driven pipelines, and distributed messaging fabrics utilizing Kafka, Apache Spark, Apache Flink, and ClickHouse.
• Building scalable data models and storage abstractions across diverse relational databases and distributed NoSQL / Columnar data stores.
• Evaluating, benchmarking, and introducing cutting-edge big data and distributed infrastructure technologies into the organizational data platform.
• Collaborating closely across R&D with Product Managers, DevOps, Core Backend, and Security Architecture squads to deliver unified enterprise telemetry and analytics.

Requirements-

• 5 years of hands-on software development experience with JVM languages (Java / Scala / Kotlin) – Mandatory
• Proven, deep hands-on expertise building production data processing systems with Kafka, Apache Spark, Apache Flink, or ClickHouse – Mandatory
• Solid architectural background in Data Modeling, Streaming vs. Batch processing paradigms, and Distributed Messaging architectures – Mandatory
• Proven track record architecting and maintaining high-throughput, low-latency Distributed Systems and cloud microservices – Mandatory
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline OR service in an elite IDF technological unit – Mandatory
• High technical ownership, strong analytical problem-solving abilities, and fluent communication in English (written and verbal) – Mandatory
