About the Role

Amphenol TCS is building a new team to deliver optical modules at scale. As an Embedded Engineer, you will own the firmware that controls and monitors our transceiver systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement MCU firmware in C for device control, diagnostics, logging, and field updates.
• Bring up new hardware and debug complex issues in a lab setting.
• Create and execute firmware tests at both the unit and system level.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional hardware, software, integration, and verification teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in MCU firmware development, including bare-metal and/or RTOS environments.

Required Skills

• Strong C programming skills with a deep understanding of ARM Cortex-M architecture, memory models, interrupts, and DMA.
• Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up and debugging, including reading schematics.
• Experience in system, hardware, and firmware integration and debugging.
• Experience in Python for tooling and test automation.
• Familiarity with standard communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, MDIO).
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with version control systems.
• Familiarity with AI Tools for development.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Motivated, independent, and collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of Analog and digital electronics.
• Hands-on experience with MCU low-level bring-up and lab test equipment (Oscilloscope, Logic-Analyzer, etc.).
• Familiarity with industry standards and specifications relevant to optics, such as CMIS and optical physical-layer standards.
