What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data and Analytics team within a global B2C product organization. As one of the first data engineering hires in Israel, you’ll play a key role in building our modern infrastructure from the ground up.

Reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics, this is a hands-on role with significant ownership, including leading the design and implementation of our first cloud data warehouse in Snowflake and establishing scalable pipelines, models, standards, and best practices.

You’ll partner closely with Analytics, Product, Marketing, and other teams to turn information from multiple systems into reliable, accessible insights for the business, while helping shape the future of our data engineering function as the team grows.

What You’ll Do:

• Architecture & Infrastructure: Lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and deployment of Outlook Amusements’ first cloud Data Warehouse (DWH) in Snowflake.
• Data Pipeline Engineering: Build, maintain, and orchestrate reliable, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow to ingest data from diverse internal and external source systems.
• Data Modeling & Transformation: Establish data modeling best practices using transformation frameworks such as dbt to transform raw data into clean, well-documented, analytics-ready models for downstream business consumption.
• Foundational Governance & Quality: Implement data quality checks, testing, automated monitoring, and data governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across the platform.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with business stakeholders, product managers, marketing, and analytics teams to understand business requirements, define key metrics, and translate them into robust data architectures.
• Strategy & Roadmap: Own the technical data roadmap—selecting relevant tooling, defining coding standards, and setting best practices for future data engineering hires as the team scales.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful:

• Experience: 6+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, preferably with a track record of building or significantly scaling a data warehouse from scratch.
• Core Tech Stack: Proven expertise with Snowflake for data warehousing, alongside workflow orchestrators such as Apache Airflow and transformation tools such as dbt.
• Database & RDBMS Experience: Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server
• Technical Proficiency:
• Advanced SQL skills (complex queries, query optimization, and performance tuning).
• High proficiency in Python for software engineering, custom data extraction, and automation.
• Data Architecture: Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, data lake/warehouse patterns, and modern Data Stack best practices.
• Software Engineering Fundamentals: Familiarity with Git version control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and containerization (e.g., Docker).
• Mindset & Communication: Self-starter mindset with strong ownership—comfortable operating as the sole/founding data engineer, setting technical direction, and explaining complex data concepts to non-technical partners.

• Ability to work from home including a stable internet connection.
• Work from office in Petach Tikva (future Ran ’ana) twice a week
