Mechanical Team Lead

Anan Data Solutions is seeking an experienced Mechanical Team Lead to join our data center operations and maintenance team in Afula.

The successful candidate will join during the construction and commissioning phase, playing a key role in preparing the facility for operational readiness and ensuring the reliability and continuous operation of critical cooling and mechanical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the mechanical maintenance team, providing technical guidance to shift technicians.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of chillers, pumps, CRAH units, chilled water systems, and associated mechanical infrastructure.
• Manage liquid cooling systems, including water quality monitoring and chemical treatment processes.
• Oversee plumbing and water distribution systems, including piping, valves, drainage, and pumps.
• Support mechanical commissioning, system testing, and operational readiness activities prior to facility activation.
• Lead technical troubleshooting, incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Plan and supervise maintenance activities while minimizing operational risks and ensuring service continuity.
• Manage external contractors and service providers, review technical drawings, and ensure compliance with work permits and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and schedules using CMMS.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in mechanical, HVAC, and cooling infrastructure maintenance, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
• Practical Engineer diploma in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC.
• Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting HVAC, cooling, and plumbing systems in mission-critical or 24/7 operational environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of chillers, pumps, chilled water systems, and related mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Experience with preventive maintenance planning and CMMS platforms.
• Familiarity with work permits, equipment isolation, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Good technical English proficiency.
• Availability for on-call response to critical incidents.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in data center operations and maintenance.
• Experience with liquid cooling systems, including CDUs and direct-to-chip cooling technologies.
• Experience with water treatment and water quality management.
• Experience supporting mechanical commissioning and facility start-up.
• Manufacturer certifications or technical training for chillers and critical cooling equipment.
