Embedded Software & Firmware Team Lead

We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Embedded Software & Firmware Team Lead to lead software architecture and firmware development for multidisciplinary medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead system-level software and firmware architecture, including interfaces between embedded devices, mobile applications, and production tools.
• Design and develop embedded firmware for microcontrollers (MCUs).
• Lead embedded cybersecurity initiatives, including Secure by Design, threat modeling, encryption, Secure Boot, and secure FOTA.
• Develop and maintain testing, calibration, and manufacturing tools, supporting NPI processes.
• Provide technical support for software and firmware issues in production.
• Maintain detailed engineering and development documentation.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 10+ years of software and firmware development experience in multidisciplinary systems integrating hardware, software, mechanics, and sensors.
• Strong hands-on Embedded C/C++ development experience for MCUs.
• Experience leading cybersecurity initiatives in embedded or medical device environments, including threat modeling, encryption, and secure architecture.
• Strong engineering documentation skills.

Significant Advantages:

• Experience in the medical device industry.
• Experience with BLE, Wi-Fi, mobile application integration, and wireless communication protocols.
• Knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and FDA guidelines.

Additional Advantages:

• Previous Team Lead or Tech Lead experience leading engineers.
• Experience developing testing, automation, and manufacturing tools using Python, C#, LabVIEW, or similar technologies.
