Role Description-

• Serving as a Staff Software Engineer, holding principal architectural ownership over core real-time, safety-critical distributed systems powering autonomous fleet routing, flight control, and live airspace communications.
• Scaling system architectures to withstand a 10x growth in flight volume while maintaining uncompromising reliability, fault tolerance, and zero safety-event degradation.
• Leading the company's most technologically demanding, ambiguous engineering initiatives end-to-end: from undefined operational needs through cross-functional alignment, system design, and production rollout.
• Elevating organizational engineering maturity across R&D through hands-on system design reviews, code reviews, architectural standards, and comprehensive testing methodologies.
• Acting as the primary technical authority for complex production escalations, conducting deep-dive root cause analyses into subtle system anomalies and race conditions.
• Partnering cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Hardware, and Regulatory teams to translate intricate physical, operational, and aerospace safety constraints into sound software designs.
• Mentoring senior engineers and fostering technical excellence across core development squads.

Requirements-

• Proven background in technical leadership, system architecture, Tech Lead / Principal / Staff roles, or prior CTO experience – Mandatory
• At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience in Backend architectures or high-scale Distributed Systems – Mandatory
• Demonstrated track record of leading complex, high-impact technical projects deployed into production environments – Mandatory
• Proven background architecting and building systems where system correctness, deterministic state, and fault tolerance are paramount – Mandatory
• Deep theoretical and practical mastery of concurrent programming, distributed consensus, data consistency, and low-latency architectures – Mandatory
• Outstanding cross-functional leadership, structured problem-solving approach, and fluent communication in English (written and verbal) – Mandatory
