Cyber Security Engineer

🔐 *Hiring: Senior Cybersecurity Researcher (Level C)*

📍 *Location:* Tel Aviv, Israel | Weekly travel to Be’er Sheva and occasional travel to Jerusalem  

🕒 *Workload:* Approximately 180 hours per month

### About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Researcher to lead advanced technological research, analyze large-scale data, identify emerging cyber threats, and generate actionable intelligence and strategic insights to strengthen the cybersecurity resilience of Israel’s communications sector.

### Key Responsibilities

- Lead advanced cybersecurity and telecommunications research.

- Analyze large-scale datasets and extract actionable insights using Big Data methodologies.

- Investigate cyber threats and develop professional and strategic recommendations.

- Lead teams and drive significant organizational change initiatives.

- Develop cybersecurity strategies, security policies, methodologies, and procedures.

- Advance Threat Intelligence capabilities and strengthen the protection of critical communications infrastructure.

### Requirements

- At least *5 years of relevant professional experience* performing duties related to the role.

- Extensive research experience in at least two of the following areas:

 - Malware research

 - Vulnerability research

 - Digital forensics

 - Advanced telecommunications protocol research

 - Penetration testing

 - Reverse engineering

 - Technological cyber intelligence research

 - Development of advanced research tools

 - Big Data research and analysis

- Advanced, proven knowledge of systems and protocols.

- Relevant education, meeting one of the following criteria:

 - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Exact Sciences, or Engineering

 - Practical engineering diploma in Computer Science or Technology

 - At least 400 hours of professional cybersecurity training, subject to the tender requirements

 - Relevant technological military service, subject to the required approvals and eligibility criteria

- Experience establishing or managing a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Threat Intelligence (TI) center, leading teams, and driving significant organizational changes is a strong advantage.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.

- Willingness to work overtime and outside regular business hours.

- Security clearance, subject to the organization’s requirements.

### Work Arrangement

Hybrid work arrangement, currently including one work-from-home day per week, subject to organizational needs. Weekly attendance in Be’er Sheva is required, with occasional travel to Jerusalem.
