Role Description: The Quality Assurance Team Lead is a full-time hybrid role based in the Tel Aviv District, Israel, with flexibility for some work from home. This role oversees the QA team’s day-to-day activities, including planning and executing test strategies, reviewing test cases, and ensuring consistent quality control across releases. The Team Lead collaborates with product, development, and support teams to define acceptance criteria, identify defects, and drive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include mentoring QA team members, standardizing testing processes, monitoring QA metrics, and reporting quality status and risks to stakeholders. The role also contributes to test automation initiatives and refines tools and methodologies to support scalable, high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a distributed QA team of 7 team members located in Israel and Ukraine.
• Plan the team's work, assign tasks, set priorities, and track execution.
• Own testing quality and overall product readiness for releases.
• Build, implement, and continuously improve QA processes, including functional, integration, regression, and End-to-End testing.
• Participate in requirements analysis, risk assessment, and test strategy definition for new features and releases.
• Work closely with R&D, Product, and Support teams to identify quality issues early and drive them to effective resolution.
• Lead the Test Automation domain, define automation priorities, develop and improve automation frameworks, and continuously increase automated test coverage.
• Analyze automated test results, defects, and root causes of quality issues.
• Lead and develop the Stress & Load Testing Lab, including defining performance testing strategies and scenario;, executing and analyzing Stress, Load, and Performance test;, identifying performance bottleneck;, and working closely with R&D teams to improve system performance, stability, and scalability.
• Mentor and professionally develop QA team members and promote a strong engineering and quality culture.

Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience in Manual QA and a strong understanding of software testing methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in Test Automation, including developing, maintaining, and improving automated tests and automation frameworks.
• Experience testing Web applications, REST APIs, integrations, and Backend systems.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Good understanding of CI/CD processes and integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with at least one modern automation technology such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress, together with sufficient programming skills to develop and maintain automated tests.
• Experience working with issue and task management systems such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Ability to analyze logs and work with SQL to independently investigate defects and technical issues.
• Experience with Performance, Stress, and Load Testing, including load-testing tools, result analysis, and performance bottleneck identification, is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience managing a QA team, including planning, prioritization, task allocation, mentoring, and team coordination.
• Good English communication skills for day-to-day professional collaboration.
• Knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian is an advantage due to the distributed team structure across Israel and Ukraine.
