IT Project Manager | Core Banking Systems

A leading financial organization in Central Israel is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead complex technology projects involving mission-critical banking systems and Mainframe environments.

This role combines end-to-end project management, deep understanding of financial systems, and cross-functional leadership across business, development, infrastructure, and technology teams.

What You'll Do

• Lead complex IT projects from initiation and requirements gathering through development, testing, implementation, and production
• Manage technology initiatives involving core banking and financial systems
• Define project scope, work plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and risks
• Coordinate business, development, infrastructure, operations, information security, and external vendors
• Lead requirements gathering and support functional and technical analysis
• Oversee system development, integration, testing, and implementation activities
• Manage interfaces and dependencies between internal and external systems
• Drive organizational changes associated with new systems, processes, and technology solutions
• Ensure project alignment with regulatory requirements and business continuity needs
• Monitor project progress, resolve delivery challenges, and communicate updates to stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience managing IT projects within a financial institution
• Significant experience working with core banking or financial systems
• Professional hands-on experience with Mainframe environments in a banking or financial context
• Strong understanding of banking business processes and financial operations
• Experience managing complex system integrations and cross-organizational technology projects
• Experience working with Agile methodologies
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a matrix environment
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering and Management, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong project planning, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
