NPI& Production Engineer

Role Purpose: Own the engineering and NPI activities within Operations, supporting the transition of products from development to serial production and serving as the key engineering interface between R&D and manufacturing partners.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead NPI activities and product transfer from development to manufacturing.

· Work closely with R&D to ensure product manufacturability and implementation of DFM/DFT requirements.

· Manage product configuration, BOMs, product documentation, revisions and engineering changes (ECO/ECN).

· Ensure engineering readiness for manufacturing, including production requirements, assembly instructions, and technical specifications.

· Lead VOCAI’s engineering activities for production line setup at the EMS partner, including defining manufacturing requirements, technical guidance, and production readiness.

• · Serve as the main engineering interface with the EMS partner, providing manufacturing engineering guidance and supporting production builds and ramp-up.

Requirements

· B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related engineering field.

· Approximately 5 years of experience in NPI, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, or similar roles in electronic hardware companies.

· Hands-on experience with electronic products, PCBA/SMT manufacturing and EMS/subcontractor environments.

· Experience with product configuration, BOM management, ECO/ECN processes and manufacturing documentation.

· Good understanding of DFM/DFT principles and electronic manufacturing processes.

· Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

· Experience with ERP/PLM systems – an advantage.
