Senior AI Software Engineer | Python, GenAI & Cloud-Native Systems

A leading financial organization in Central Israel is seeking an experienced Senior AI Software Engineer to design and develop advanced, scalable software solutions that combine modern backend engineering, cloud-native architecture, and Generative AI technologies.

This role is ideal for a senior software engineer with a strong background in Python, distributed systems, and AWS who is interested in building next-generation intelligent applications.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain complex backend applications and cloud-native software solutions
• Build scalable, high-performance services using Python and modern software engineering practices
• Develop and integrate microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures
• Design and implement APIs and integrations between enterprise systems
• Develop solutions that incorporate Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and intelligent automation
• Work with AWS cloud services and containerized environments
• Collaborate with architecture, development, DevOps, and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle
• Improve system performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability
• Participate in technical design, code reviews, troubleshooting, and production optimization
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to the development of innovative software solutions

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, including production-grade systems
• 5+ years of hands-on development experience with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
• 3+ years of experience developing cloud-native solutions on AWS
• 4+ years of experience designing and developing microservices, distributed systems, or event-driven architectures
• Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, APIs, and software design principles
• Experience with asynchronous programming in Python, including asyncio
• Familiarity with Pydantic and modern Python development practices
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex engineering challenges
• Experience working in collaborative, multidisciplinary development environments
