Chief Financial Officer

A growing Israeli Defense-Tech Start-Up developing multidisciplinary systems that combine hardware, optics, software, and AI is seeking a hands-on CFO to join its leadership team.

With products already in operational use and expanding international activity, the company is preparing for its Series A financing round.

Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will serve as a strategic business partner while taking direct ownership of day-to-day financial management, building financial infrastructure, and leading fundraising activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Take hands-on ownership of financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and reporting.
• Lead fundraising processes alongside the CEO, including financial modeling, investor presentations, due diligence and negotiations.
• Build and manage relationships with leading venture capital funds and investors.
• Establish financial processes, controls and infrastructure to support growth.
• Manage product costing, profitability analysis, inventory and working capital planning.
• Partner with the leadership team and support board reporting and strategic decisions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CFO or VP Finance in a technology company developing products that combine hardware and software.
• Demonstrated experience leading and closing equity fundraising rounds, including direct work with leading VC funds.
• A hands-on approach, with the ability and willingness to personally build models, manage financial processes and execute alongside strategic responsibilities.
• Strong accounting background and financial modeling skills.
• Experience managing the financial aspects of hardware operations, including costing, inventory and working capital.
• Excellent communication skills in Hebrew and English.
• Experience in Defense-Tech or deep-tech companies is an advantage.
