Procurement Manager JB-5551

A group of companies in the fields of raw material imports, manufacturing, logistics and hospitality is seeking an experienced group procurement manager to lead and manage the procurement operations of all group companies.

A senior position combining strategic management of the procurement department, budgetary planning and control, supplier management in Israel and abroad, alongside hands-on involvement in ongoing procurement processes.

Areas of responsibility:

• Overall responsibility for the procurement operations of all group companies, including local and international procurement.
• Managing procurement for a variety of group activities in the fields of manufacturing, raw material imports, logistics and hospitality.
• Managing end-to-end procurement processes – identifying and locating alternative suppliers in Israel and abroad, receiving and comparing price quotes, managing negotiations, contracts, purchase orders and monitoring until delivery.
• Building an annual procurement plan, managing procurement budgets in the hundreds of millions, forecasts and budget controls.
• Managing and controlling inventory, delivery times, costs and supplier performance. Identifying cost-saving opportunities, streamlining and improving procurement terms and contracts. Managing and fostering long-term relationships with suppliers in Israel and abroad. Responsibility and involvement in operational procurement processes, including purchase orders, supplier opening, shipping documents and coordination with the accounting department. Ongoing work using ERP systems and Excel.
• Generating reports, analyzing procurement data and presenting status and recommendations to group management.

Requirements:

• At least 10 years of experience in procurement management – mandatory.
• Significant experience from industrial and operational companies – mandatory.
• Proven experience in international procurement and working with and negotiating with foreign suppliers – mandatory.
• Experience managing procurement and budgets in the hundreds of millions – mandatory.
• High level of English, including negotiation management and commercial conduct – mandatory.
• Experience working with ERP systems and good Excel skills – mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Management, Industrial Engineering and Management or another relevant field – advantage.
• High commercial skills, negotiation management, independent work and functioning in a multi-tasking and multi-interface environment.
