Head of Flight and Space Sciences | Missile and Space Systems Division

We are looking for a Head of Flight and Space Sciences to join the Engineering and Systems Plant within IAI’s Missile and Space Systems Division.

The position includes responsibility for leading scientific and engineering disciplines within the Engineering and Systems Plant.

The Directorate serves as a central professional authority in aerodynamics, control, simulations, guidance and control, aircraft performance, and flight and space engineering.

The Directorate leads the development of complex systems in its core areas of expertise and provides professional support to engineering teams across the plant.

The position includes:

• Planning, managing, and overseeing engineering development processes in aerodynamics and flight sciences, including aerodynamics, control, navigation, analyses, simulations, and guidance and control
• Developing and implementing advanced engineering methodologies, work processes, and tools
• Establishing centers of expertise within the Directorate’s areas of responsibility and providing professional training to employees
• Leading the resolution of complex engineering challenges and providing technical expertise to support development activities
• Serving as the central professional authority across the Directorate’s areas of responsibility
• Driving innovation, research, and continuous improvement within the Directorate, including the advancement of engineering methodologies and work processes
• Participating in the development of the plant’s engineering strategy and representing the Directorate in interactions with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

• Israeli citizenship
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Electronics, or another relevant engineering discipline
• At least 5 years of proven experience managing professional teams or leading significant engineering activities
• At least 3 years of experience in professional development and technical leadership in one of the flight sciences or control disciplines, OR proven experience as a Chief Systems Engineer of complex systems (airborne, space, or autonomous systems), OR as a Project Manager of complex systems
• High proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
