What's expected from you

• Speak directly with customers and understand how they actually work
• Run discovery calls, user interviews and usability sessions
• Analyze the existing product and identify friction, confusing workflows and opportunities for simplification
• Separate individual feature requests from broader product problems
• Translate customer needs and business goals into clear product priorities
• Define simple product experiences for complex financial and operational workflows
• Work closely with design on UX, flows, information architecture and product details
• Use AI tools to quickly prototype and test ideas before committing significant engineering effort
• Write clear product requirements and drive execution with engineering
• Make trade-offs quickly and keep the team focused on the highest-impact problems
• Stay close to implementation, launch, usage and customer feedback
• Measure whether what we built actually solved the problem and iterate when needed

• Customers find Altius easier and more intuitive despite the complexity of the underlying workflows
• Major friction points are identified and improved systematically
• Product decisions are increasingly driven by customer evidence and real usage
• New ideas move quickly from discovery to prototype to production
• The team stays focused on the highest-impact problems
• Major new products and workflows are successfully built from 0 to 1
• The product becomes more coherent, consistent and easier to use over time

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of product management experience with a strong track record of shipping meaningful products
• Experience building complex, data-heavy systems while keeping the user experience simple
• Strong experience with customer discovery, user interviews and product research
• Strong product and UX judgment with high attention to detail
• Ability to identify friction and redesign workflows, not only add features
• Experience taking products or major workflows from 0 to 1
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to combine qualitative insights with product data
• Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly explain product decisions
• High ownership, independence and comfort making decisions in ambiguous situations
• Experience working in startups, small teams or other fast-paced environments with rapid iteration
• Native-level English, written and spoken

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, wealth-tech, investment technology or related financial software
• Experience with portfolio management, private markets, family offices or institutional investing
• Experience with AI-native products
• Hands-on use of AI prototyping or coding tools
• Experience working closely with design systems and complex enterprise UX
• Technical background or strong understanding of software architecture and APIs

How we use AI

AI is central to how this role works, not a side tool. In product, we expect you to use AI prototyping and coding tools to test ideas with customers before committing significant engineering effort, and to understand what becomes possible when AI is part of the product itself. Beyond that, we expect you to use models like Claude and ChatGPT throughout discovery and delivery: preparing for and making sense of customer conversations, analyzing feedback and usage, and writing clear product requirements. We want someone who follows where the technology is heading and thinks in terms of what it makes newly possible, not someone who has simply used a chatbot.
