Materials Lead

The Role

You'll lead oxide thin-film growth, characterization, process development, and device fabrication, driving the transition from laboratory research to scalable manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize oxide thin-film growth and deposition processes.

• Characterize structural, electrical, optical, and electro-optical properties (XRD, electrical transport, TEM).

• Develop lithography and device-fabrication processes.

• Investigate process variations and their impact on device performance.

• Collaborate with photonics teams on material integration.

• Lead process scale-up and technology transfer to external fabrication facilities.

Required Experience

• Hands-on experience with oxide thin-film growth and characterization.

• Experience in thin-film deposition, lithography, and device fabrication.

• Practical experience with XRD, electrical transport measurements, and TEM.

• Strong experimental and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with functional oxides and electro-optical thin films (preferred).

• Integration of novel materials into photonic or semiconductor devices (preferred).

• Process transfer, semiconductor manufacturing, or foundry collaboration (preferred).

• Industrial R&D experience (preferred).

The position will initially be based at Ben-Gurion University (BGU).
