Role Overview Key Responsibilities

We're looking for an experienced FPV racing drone pilot - someone with real racer-level stick skills - to lead our flight operations and field testing. You'll plan and execute field test missions, fly our FPV platforms in demanding real-world conditions, and deliver post-flight analysis that feeds directly into development.

Beyond the flying, you're an integrator at heart: you'll build, fix, and manage our drone fleet - assembling airframes, integrating electronics, and keeping every platform mission-ready - while working closely with the development team to improve reliability and performance.

This is a role of high trust and ownership: you'll lead field days end-to-end and keep the team organized, safe, and engaged. A minimum one-year commitment is required.

Key Responsibilities

Flight Operations & Data Analysis

• Manage and execute flight operations and customer demos, including PoC implementation. 
• Collect, document, and analyze flight data to drive system improvements
• Ensure all flight data is properly processed, validated, and delivered to relevant teams
• Work closely with software and hardware teams to translate flight insights into product improvements
• Ensure standardization and enforcement of test safety, equipment readiness, and regulatory compliance across all company-wide testing activities.

Operations & Testing Infrastructure

• Lead testing efforts, including validation, stress testing, and failure analysis
• Improve testing workflows and operational efficiency

Fleet Building, Integration & Maintenance

• Build, assemble, and integrate drones - airframes, electronics, and embedded components
• Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain the drone fleet to keep it mission-ready
• Manage fleet inventory, spares, and equipment readiness for field operations

Skills and Qualifications

• A valid UAV Pilot License (up to 25 kg)
• High level FPV flight experience with strong stick control and situational awareness (at least 50 FPV flight hours)
• Proven hands-on experience building, assembling, and repairing FPV drones - soldering, wiring, and electronics troubleshooting across:
• Hardware systems - airframes, motors, ESCs, flight controllers
• Embedded systems & configuration (e.g., Betaflight /ArduPilot/ flight-stack tuning), RF & video links
• Familiarity with flight operations / drone demos
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• High level of commitment, responsibility, and willingness to work in the field under dynamic conditions
• Genuine passion for hardware and integration - someone who loves to build, tinker, and improve
• High integrity and reliability

Preferred qualifications

• Military field or combat experience, particularly hands-on FPV drone operation, is preferred. Certification as an Israeli military ‘Bat’ drone operator, together with operational experience, is highly preferred.
• Military command or instruction course completion, combined with verified training or teaching experience.
• Background in drone racing or self-built FPV quads (personal or competitive)
