We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and independent Bookkeeper (Up to Trial Balance) & Payroll Specialist to join our growing team.

This is a full-time, remote position involving independent responsibility for the bookkeeping and payroll operations of multiple clients across different industries, including the high-tech sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage bookkeeping processes up to trial balance.
• Record and reconcile financial transactions, including banks, credit cards, suppliers, and customers.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Perform monthly and annual closing procedures and prepare accounting records for financial reporting.
• Prepare and submit periodic reports to Israeli tax authorities, including VAT and withholding tax filings.
• Independently manage monthly payroll processing, including salary calculations, employee benefits, pension contributions, and statutory deductions.
• Handle payroll-related reporting to tax authorities, National Insurance, and pension providers.
• Manage employee onboarding, termination, and related payroll documentation.
• Work with SUMIT accounting software and Mashkoret payroll software.
• Communicate directly with clients, accountants, and relevant external stakeholders.
• Support process improvements, automation, and the implementation of efficient digital workflows.

• Proven experience in Israeli bookkeeping up to trial balance — required.
• Certified Payroll Accountant (חשב/ת שכר מוסמך/ת) with hands-on payroll experience — required.
• Bookkeeping certification (Type 2 or Type 3).
• Strong knowledge of Israeli accounting practices, VAT regulations, payroll taxation, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Ability to independently manage multiple clients, priorities, and reporting deadlines.
• Proficiency with accounting software and digital financial tools.
• Experience with SUMIT and Mashkoret — a significant advantage.
• Experience working with high-tech companies or startups — an advantage, but not required.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
• Excellent Hebrew communication skills and good working proficiency in English.
• A proactive, responsible, and service-oriented approach.
