Looking for a hands-on AI engineer who wants to build the agentic layer of an early-stage fintech product.

📆 Your typical day here:

You will lead AI at Debbie, partnering closely with our 2 founders and engineering team. You'll build the AI that helps people make smarter money decisions, the agents that act on those decisions for them, and the internal agents that help our small team move like a much bigger one. You'll set the technical direction for how we build with AI, then architect, ship and measure it in production. Brainstorm, architect, build and scale features, change real people’s lives and have fun doing it!

🛠️ Requirements:

• 5+ years of industry experience, including time at an early-stage startup
• You've shipped LLM or AI-agent features to production that real users relied on (agentic systems, RAG, tool-calling agents or AI pipelines)
• Experience with agent architecture, evals and monitoring model quality and cost
• Strong DevOps fundamentals (CI/CD, containers, IaC, cloud) and the ability to set up and maintain the infrastructure our AI systems run on.
• Strong backend: Node.js/TypeScript (Python is a plus), SQL/PostgreSQL and system architecture
• Browser automation or agentic browsing experience is a big plus
• Must be highly product-oriented (ie you should care about what you're building!)
• Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
