IT Project Manager | Banking Core Systems | Central Israel

A leading financial organization is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead complex technology and business projects involving mission-critical banking and financial core systems.

This role combines end-to-end project management, financial systems expertise, Mainframe environments, and cross-functional collaboration across business and technology teams.

What You'll Do

• Lead complex IT projects from initiation and requirements gathering through development, testing, implementation, and production
• Manage projects involving core banking and financial systems
• Define project plans, timelines, scope, milestones, dependencies, and risks
• Coordinate Business, IT, Operations, Infrastructure, Information Security, and external vendors
• Lead requirements gathering and support functional and technical analysis
• Oversee development, integration, testing, and implementation activities
• Manage interfaces and dependencies between internal and external systems
• Drive organizational changes and implementation of new systems and processes
• Ensure alignment with business continuity and regulatory requirements

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience managing technology projects within a financial institution
• Significant experience with core banking or financial systems
• Hands-on professional experience working with Mainframe (MF) environments in a banking or financial context
• Strong understanding of banking or financial business and operational processes
• Experience managing complex system integrations and cross-organizational projects
• Experience working with Agile methodologies
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering and Management, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills
