VP of R&D

Located in the Sharon region adjacent to the train station, working on-site.

Role Description-

• Serving as the Head of R&D / R&D Team Lead, reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating closely with the CTO to lead the end-to-end engineering roadmap.
• Managing and mentoring a multidisciplinary team of 7 engineers spanning local and international sites, across Hardware, Embedded Software, and Mechanical domains.
• Driving system-level technical leadership: diving deep into complex technical bottlenecks and delivering hands-on, end-to-end solutions across the physical product ecosystem.
• Guiding complete product lifecycles from concept definition, proof-of-concept, and prototyping through Design for Manufacturing (DFM), tooling, and high-volume mass production.
• Managing external development partners, specialized consultants, and technology vendors to accelerate development milestones.
• Interfacing directly with overseas manufacturing lines, assembly houses, and global suppliers overseeing tooling release, component sourcing, and mass-scale production handoffs.

Requirements-

• Proven, extensive hands-on experience developing complex physical multidisciplinary hardware products from scratch to market – Mandatory
• Broad technical depth across Hardware, Electronics, Firmware / Embedded Systems, Mechanics, Sensors, Wireless Protocols, and Control Systems – Mandatory
• Strong System-Level Engineering expertise: system architecture, electronic board design (schematics & PCB), Hardware-Firmware integration, and mechanical interfaces – Mandatory
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary physical products through the entire lifecycle: concept, prototyping, DFM, tooling, and mass manufacturing – Mandatory
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary R&D / engineering teams, including distributed/remote team members and external engineering vendors – Mandatory
• Hands-on background working directly with overseas contract manufacturers (CMs) and suppliers (DFM reviews, tooling, and manufacturing handoff) – Mandatory
• Domain experience in at least one of the following: Robotics, Consumer Electronics, Connected Devices / IoT, Defense Technologies, or End-to-End Product Design Studios – Mandatory
• Exceptional leadership, execution-focused mindset, and fluent technical communication skills in English – Mandatory
