Mechanical Design Engineer

The company develops a proprietary virtual perimeter defense platform that detects, tracks, and actively neutralizes unauthorized drones and airborne threats to protect high-security infrastructure, government facilities, and industrial sites globally.

Located in central Tel Aviv adjacent to the light rail, working on-site with hour flexibility and remote accommodation as needed.

Role Description-

• Serving as the Lead Mechanical Engineer (Hands-on / One-Man Show), taking end-to-end ownership of the mechanical design, development, and industrialization of advanced hardware products.
• Leading mechanical development across the full product lifecycle: from initial concept design and detailed 3D modeling to full-scale manufacturing, integration, and deployment.
• Specializing in the mechanical architecture of ruggedized electronic enclosures and environmental systems engineered to withstand harsh operational conditions.
• Generating comprehensive 3D CAD assemblies, detailed 2D production drawings, assembly instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
• Applying diverse fabrication methodologies and materials, including CNC machining, sheet metal, aluminum, copper, stainless steel, and molded plastics.
• Managing technical projects end-to-end: selecting off-the-shelf components, managing relationships with domestic and global manufacturers, overseeing prototype builds, and driving production handoffs.

Requirements-

• 6 years of dedicated professional experience in Mechanical Engineering – Mandatory
• 4 years of hands-on experience designing ruggedized electronic systems and harsh-environment enclosures – Mandatory
• Extensive practical mastery of fabrication processes and materials: CNC, Sheet Metal, Aluminum, Copper, Stainless Steel, and Plastics – Mandatory
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, 2D manufacturing drawings, assembly procedures, and production guidelines – Mandatory
• Proven background in multidisciplinary Hardware design and system-level mechanical integration – Mandatory
• Demonstrated track record managing engineering projects and interfacing directly with suppliers, machine shops, and contract manufacturers – Mandatory
• Independent problem-solver with exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and fluent technical communication skills in English – Mandatory
