Data Engineer

🚀 Junior Data Engineer | AI & AWS

We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join a growing team working on data engineering and analytics within the Fraud Prevention domain.

This is a great opportunity for a Data Engineer with 1+ year of hands-on experience who wants to work with large-scale data, cloud technologies, AI-powered development tools, and modern data pipelines.

What you’ll do:

• Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes, including batch and near real-time data flows.
• Work with large-scale datasets and develop data-centric software solutions.
• Translate business and data requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Software Engineers.
• Design and maintain databases, data models, and data integration processes.
• Take ownership of data quality, monitoring, and operational reliability.
• Participate in code and design reviews and contribute to technical decisions.
• Use AI-powered development tools such as Claude and Cursor to improve development workflows and productivity.
• Work with cloud-based data infrastructure, primarily AWS.
• Analyze data and pipelines and help identify opportunities to improve fraud prevention capabilities.

Requirements:

• 1+ year of professional experience in Data Engineering / Data Development
• B.A./B.Sc. in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a relevant technical background.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with Python and/or Shell scripting.
• Experience with Spark and data processing.
• Understanding of data modeling / Entity Relationship Modeling.
• Hands-on experience building or maintaining ETL / data pipelines.
• Experience working with AWS cloud environments – preferably S3, EC2, EMR/Spark, Redshift, Athena or similar.
• Familiarity with data warehouses, data lakes or lakehouse environments.
• Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk or Grafana.
• Hands-on experience with AI development tools, such as Claude, Cursor or similar agentic development environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of English and Hebrew.

Advantage:

• Experience in fraud prevention, cybersecurity or financial systems.
• Experience with agentic workflows, AI agents, skills or plugins.
• Knowledge of Data Science / Machine Learning.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or Cassandra.
• Knowledge of Scala or Java.
• Experience with streaming or near real-time data processing.
• Familiarity with graph databases.
