Mechanical Engineer

Role Description

The position is to design process equipment according to the company knowhow

and procedures and follow up relevant fabrication and installation.

She/he shall co-ordinate with the other mechanical engineers as well as engineers 

from other disciplines in the best interest of the projects he/she is assigned to.

Reporting to

Mechanical Engineering Department Manager

Key areas of responsibility

• Prepare and check technical documents, including:

- 3D Models and calculations

- drawings

- specifications

- vendor documents

- technical tabulations

- technical bid evaluation

• Co-ordinate with companies supplying engineering services
• Participate in internal meetings and in meetings with clients and suppliers

Qualifications / Experience

   Mandatory requirements

• B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role preferably within the industry

(Engineering company, Chemical Process/Oil & Gas industries)

• Proficient in SolidWorks
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Fluent English spoken and written

    Additional requirements

• Specific knowledge in GRP/FRP is advantageous
• Competency in FEA is advantageous
• Knowledge of ASME codes for vessels is advantageous
• Knowledge of composite materials is advantageous
• Basic knowledge of QA/QC requirements is advantageous
