Manager Department Quality

A leading defense company specializing in advanced sighting systems and electro-optical technologies, is looking for an experienced Quality Department Manager to lead and manage the company’s quality operations.

This is a key management position with responsibility for maintaining and continuously improving quality standards across manufacturing and organizational processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the company’s quality management system and quality activities
• Direct management of the Quality Department team (approximately 8 employees)
• Leading internal and external audits
• Writing, updating, and maintaining quality procedures and work instructions
• Managing failure investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement processes
• Conducting quality training and ensuring implementation of procedures
• Working closely with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors on quality-related matters
• Cross-functional collaboration with Production, Engineering, R&D, Procurement, Planning, Warehouse, and Logistics
• Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental requirements and company procedures

Requirements

• At least 3–5 years of experience managing quality systems, preferably in a defense or manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience with and knowledge of ISO 9001; additional quality standards are an advantage
• Experience in quality inspection and quality control of electronic, mechanical, and/or optical products
• Ability to read engineering drawings – required
• Familiarity with manufacturing and logistics processes
• Proven experience managing a team
• Knowledge of measurement and inspection processes
• Good command of Microsoft Office
• Experience with Priority ERP – a significant advantage
• B.Sc. / B.Eng. / Practical Engineer qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or Optics – an advantage
• Quality / Quality Engineering certification – an advantage
• Good written and reading English
• Willingness to travel in Israel and abroad as required
