Project Origination & Commercial Development Lead (2982)

IDE Technologies, a global leader in water solutions, is hiring a Project Origination & Commercial Development Lead, a newly created role at the group's asset development company.

The role combines strategic thinking, rigorous data analysis and the use of advanced AI tools to turn complex engineering challenges into viable commercial projects. It is well suited to professionals with a background in strategy consulting or corporate development who want to take ownership of projects from the first idea through to execution.

What You Will Do:

Market research and analysis: Use advanced AI tools to identify emerging opportunities in global markets, gather competitive intelligence and track technology trends in the infrastructure sector.

Origination to execution: Lead initiatives end to end, from initial opportunity identification through to commercial project execution.

Commercial lead for engineering development: Work closely with engineering teams to translate technical challenges into business solutions, prepare complex proposals and build joint work plans that align engineering milestones with commercial and financial targets.

Business models and feasibility: Develop and validate economic models and assess the feasibility of new ventures.

Reports to: Director of Presale & Technology

What You Should Bring:

Education: B.A. in Economics or Business Administration, or B.Sc. in Engineering.

Experience: At least 2 years at a leading strategy consulting firm, or equivalent experience in corporate strategy or corporate development (required).

AI tools: Hands-on experience applying AI-based research tools in day-to-day work. No programming background required.

Analysis and communication: Strong ability to distill complex data into clear, compelling strategy documents, executive presentations and commercial proposals.

Stakeholder management: Experience working with senior executives and leading processes that involve multiple stakeholders.

Languages: Fluent written and spoken English.

Travel: Willingness to travel abroad as needed.
