Manufacturing Engineer

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Aircraft Factory in the Aviation Group at Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI).

The position includes:

• Providing ongoing engineering support to the production/conversion line for business aircraft, from the development stage through serial production

• Participating in the development and design of business aircraft in the areas of electrical systems, electrical installations, and wiring harness installation, while collaborating with other engineering disciplines

• Developing and designing system test methods, including the planning and implementation of test equipment

• Implementing engineering changes on business aircraft, including required wiring modifications

• Providing technical support for operational and installation issues involving airborne electrical systems and wiring harnesses, improving processes, and troubleshooting issues arising on the production line

• Preparing work instructions and technical instructions for the production line

• Planning and updating the manufacturing product structure/BOM and carrying out related logistics activities, including orders, tracking, and implementation, in accordance with design changes and/or customer requirements

• Preparing quotations for testing systems and installation activities

• Implementing improvements and cost-reduction initiatives on existing aircraft

What we’re looking for:

• B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering – Mandatory

• At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in complex, multidisciplinary projects, working across electrical, electronics, software, and mechanical disciplines – Mandatory

• Knowledge in at least one or more of the following areas: airborne electrical systems, wiring and integration, or wiring harness installation – Mandatory

• Knowledge of CATIA – Advantage

• Knowledge and ability to read electrical schematics (WD), installation drawings, and technical specifications – Advantage

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and system testing – Advantage

• Knowledge of SAP – Advantage

• Familiarity with civil aviation standards and regulations – Advantage

• Strong systems-level perspective and a proactive, hands-on approach

• High level of English
