Junior AI Engineer

Edventure is building an AI-powered learning platform used by teachers and students. We are a small team, and every engineer owns real features from idea to production.

The role:

You will build features across the whole product: React UI, Node.js APIs, AI-powered flows, and the small product decisions in between. You won't be handed one narrow type of ticket. You will learn by shipping, with a senior teammate reviewing your work.

What you'll do:

• Build and improve user-facing features in React (teacher and student flows).
• Write and maintain backend endpoints and background jobs in Node.js and PostgreSQL.
• Integrate AI models (LLMs, speech, vision) into real product features.
• Fix bugs, write clean code, and add tests where they matter.
• Talk to users and teachers, understand their problems, and suggest improvements.
• Learn how production systems run: queues, monitoring, deployments.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering field.
• 1–3 years of experience with strong projects.
• Solid JavaScript. React and Node.js experience is a plus.
• Comfortable with Git, APIs and SQL basics.
• Curious about AI and eager to use it, including AI coding tools, to move faster.
• You like building things end to end and aren't afraid to touch unfamiliar code.
• Good English, written and spoken. Hebrew is not required.

Nice to have:

• Experience calling LLM APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, etc.).
• A project you built and shipped yourself.
• Interest in education.
