VP of Resource Development

About the Organization

ISRAEL-is is reshaping how the young generation around the world perceives Israel, through encounters with young Israelis. We train hundreds of thousands of young Israelis traveling abroad to act as a force of ambassadors, generating millions of personal, perception-changing encounters with their peers.

We are a rapidly growing organization seeking a strategic, results-driven leader with a strong drive for success to lead our resource development operation. The goal is to double our resources and substantially scale our activity and donations.

The Role

• Strategy and process building: Develop a multi-year resource development strategy to double the organization's resources, build structured work processes, and diversify income streams (private donors, foundations, government and business sectors).
• Team management: Manage, mentor and develop the department team (2 employees), and lead goal-oriented resource development processes.
• Relationship development and stewardship: Lead direct, proactive and independent engagement with donors, with a strong emphasis on international expertise and fundraising, and identify new opportunities.
• Senior leadership engagement: Build dedicated fundraising plans and schedules for the CEO and founders, actively mobilizing senior leadership.
• Writing, narrative and value propositions: Write and lead compelling grant applications, reports, presentations and funding proposals in Hebrew and English, to the highest standard.
• Systems and data management: Manage the Gantt chart and CRM tracking, monitor income cash flow against commitments, and produce annual impact and measurement reports.

Requirements

Required:

• Significant experience in fundraising and resource development and/or business or organizational management, with a proven track record of growing revenue or budgets.
• Strategic thinking combined with strong execution and the ability to independently drive results.
• Proven ability to build structured work processes and to work systematically with management, CRM, tracking and control systems.
• Excellent ability to develop value propositions and compelling fundraising materials, from narrative through writing and presentation.
• Strong ability to build relationships, establish trust and manage relationships with donors and partners.
• Native-level English, written and spoken.
• Initiative, independence, a strong drive for success and a high commitment to meeting targets.
• Deep connection to the organization's mission and to strengthening Israel's standing in the world.
• Willingness to travel abroad for work at least 4–6 times a year and to work non-standard hours as needed.
