Senior Back-End Engineer

Our Group is building a new mobile gaming studio venture in Israel.

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our core team and help build the backend and infrastructure powering our mobile games from the ground up.

About The Role

This is a highly hands-on role for an experienced backend engineer who can independently design, build, deploy, and own production systems.

You’ll work closely with the CTO, Product, and Unity developers on backend services, APIs, cloud infrastructure, integrations, and production environments.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs
• Own features end-to-end, from architecture through production
• Build systems for player accounts, progression, rewards, social features, and game state
• Integrate backend services with Unity clients and third-party platforms
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
• Own deployments, monitoring, logging, and production reliability
• Optimize performance, scalability, and stability
• Investigate and resolve complex production issues

Who You Are

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience building production backend systems
• Strong proficiency in Node.js / TypeScript, Java / Kotlin, Go, Python, or similar
• Experience with APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases
• Strong experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure
• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and reliability
• High ownership and ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment

Strong Advantage

• Experience with mobile games or consumer applications
• Experience with Unity integrations
• Experience with real-time or multiplayer systems
• Experience with Redis, queues, WebSockets, or event-driven systems
• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools
