Forward Deployed Engineer (Internal Operations)

We're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to build the internal tools that help our teams work more efficiently across the business: logistics and inventory, retail stores, the e-commerce website, and internal departments. You'll work directly with the people who run these operations, understand how they work day to day, and own each solution from discovery and scoping through design, build, rollout, and ongoing support. You'll be an engineer first, with a real interest in the business processes behind the code.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with logistics, inventory, store, e-commerce, and internal teams to understand their processes, bottlenecks, and daily workflows
• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency, and prioritize them by business impact
• Design, build, and deploy internal tools: web apps, dashboards, workflow automations, and scripts
• Integrate internal tools with core systems (ERP, WMS, POS, e-commerce platform, and others) through APIs, databases, and files
• Prototype quickly, gather feedback from users, and iterate until the tool fits the way they work
• Own solutions end to end: development, deployment, training, adoption, and ongoing support
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide fast, hands-on support to business users
• Turn one-off solutions into reusable components that other teams can use
• Collaborate with the integration, DevOps, and data teams to build on shared infrastructure and standards
• Use AI and automation tools where they can save the business time
• Document solutions, data flows, and usage guides

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development, automation, or a technical role working directly with business users
• Strong programming skills in at least one language (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar)
• Experience building internal tools, web applications, or automations from requirements to production
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and system integration
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Ability to understand business processes quickly and translate them into technical solutions
• Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working with ambiguity
• Ownership mindset, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities independently
• Excellent communication skills in English and Hebrew, with the ability to work with non-technical users
