About the role

Novacom is looking for a Power Electronics Engineer with a background in power supplies, for a role that combines engineering, business development and technical customer support. The role serves as the technical bridge between TDI and Novacom's customers, primarily in the defense industry in Israel (Elbit Systems, Rafael, Israel Aerospace Industries and others), as well as in the Gulf states and across the Middle East. The role includes application support, assisting marketing efforts, identifying needs and opportunities in the early stages of product development, and technical support for ongoing projects.

Responsibilities

• Project identification and development: mapping power-system needs at defense companies and technology startups in Israel and the region, and identifying opportunities to embed TDI's power supply solutions from the earliest stages of development
• Technical interface between TDI and customers: mediating between TDI's engineering teams and customer engineers, translating technical requirements in both directions
• Technical customer support: answering engineering questions and assisting with integration processes
• Spec review: reviewing customer requirements against TDI's product capabilities and proposing tailored solutions
• Technical documents and proposals: preparing technical materials, presentations and competitive comparisons; participating in exhibitions and conferences
• Project support from the RFI/RFQ stage through delivery, in collaboration with TDI in the USA

Requirements

• Technical background and experience with power conversion products
• Proven experience with power supplies (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC, UPS) - required
• Solid understanding of power electronics types and applications
• Experience working with customers in the defense / aerospace industry - significant advantage
• Very good English (regular work with TDI teams in the USA)
• Availability for travel to customers in Israel, and limited travel to the Gulf states and the Middle East
• Independent work, strong problem-solving skills and excellent interpersonal communication

Advantages
