Production Planner & Control Specialist

About the Role

Role Objective Responsible for the planning, scheduling, and control of production processes. Balancing demand, material availability, inventory, production capacity, and delivery targets. The role requires a systemic perspective and the ability to make planning decisions independently, while proactively identifying bottlenecks, shortages, and supply risks.

Responsibilities

• Developing short-, medium-, and long-term production plans based on forecasts, orders, and company requirements.
• Planning raw materials and components in accordance with production plans and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Identifying and closely monitoring shortages and risks.
• Scheduling, initiating, and tracking production orders.
• Ongoing monitoring of production progress against plans and identifying variances.
• Adjusting production plans based on changes in demand, shortages, malfunctions, and operational changes.
• Collaborating with Procurement, Production, Warehousing, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain departments.
• Identifying trends and variances between planned and actual figures.
• Analyzing inventory levels and making purchasing recommendations.
• Monitoring the production capacity of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assessing the impact of engineering changes on production plans and inventory.
• Working within the Priority ERP system (updating planning data, work orders, inventory, and inputs).

Qualifications

• Academic degree – an advantage.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a Production/Supply Planning role.
• Proven experience in production and materials planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work with multiple interfaces simultaneously and drive execution.
• Strong planning, organizational, and task-prioritization skills.
• Very good English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with the Priority ERP system – a significant advantage.
• Experience in the medical device or assembly industry – a significant advantage.
