Root DV (שורש די.וי. בע"מ) is an ecosystem development company that produces technology conferences, runs technical developer communities, and delivers corporate innovation programs in Israel and abroad. We connect frontier-technology founders, venture capital, developer networks, and national innovation programs.
Our activities range from flagship conferences - such as the Israel Crypto Conference (ICC), TLV Blockchain Week, and the Mid-Chain Conference - to monthly technical meetups, executive roundtables, international hackathons, and online content.
The RoleWe are hiring an Events & Community Lead with 2–4 years of experience to own two areas in equal measure:
- Event production (50%) - end-to-end ownership of our physical conferences and virtual events: agenda, budget, venue, vendors, staging, and run-of-show.
- Community management (50%) - daily engagement across Telegram, Luma, Meetup.com, and X to keep developers, researchers, founders, and investors informed and coming back.
The role reports to Root DV's management and works with our marketing partners, speakers, and sponsors.
ResponsibilitiesPhysical event production
- Plan and run flagship conferences (200+ attendees) and monthly developer meetups end-to-end.
- Scout venues, negotiate prices, review supplier contracts, and coordinate vendors (audiovisual, staging, catering, badges, branding).
- Build detailed run-of-show schedules, stage timing cues, tech rehearsals, and staff and volunteer briefing kits.
- Act as floor and stage manager during live events: registration flow, timing, and onsite troubleshooting.
Virtual events and media
- Produce and broadcast webinars, panels, and AMAs on StreamYard.
- Run technical dry-runs with international speakers (audio, video, screen share, overlays).
- Package recordings for YouTube and short-form distribution after each event.
Community and communications
- Moderate and grow our Telegram communities: foster technical discussion, share relevant industry news, and respond to member questions promptly.
- Manage registration on Luma and Meetup.com, including applicant screening to keep attendee quality high.
- Work with marketing to produce event announcements, speaker highlights, and recaps for X and partner channels.
- Track community metrics: attendance, repeat attendance, NPS, and engagement.
Speakers and sponsors
- Act as point of contact for speakers, academic guests, and sponsors: travel, scheduling, presentation decks, and stage bios.
- Deliver all contractual sponsor deliverables (booths, banners, stage mentions, opt-in attendee lists).
Notion - Schedules, budget ledgers, vendor databases, speaker matrices, run-of-show playbooks
Luma - Landing pages, registration curation, QR check-in, attendee emails
Meetup.com - Recurring monthly meetups, RSVP tracking, organic discovery
Telegram - Group moderation, live attendee updates, engagement
StreamYard - Live studio, multi-streaming, speaker overlays, on-screen Q&A
X (Twitter) - Live event threads, speaker amplification, polls, announcements
Google Workspace & GCP - Sheets for live check-in audits, shared Drive assets, forms
AI and automations - Build and manage agents and automations through different AI providers.
Requirements- 2–4 years of experience in tech event production, conference coordination, or community management at a tech accelerator, VC platform, startup hub, or technology company.
- Proven ability to execute independently under tight deadlines and stay calm under live-event pressure.
- Outstanding attention to detail: timelines, vendor follow-ups, budgets, and checklists.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Hebrew - comfortable with both international speakers and local suppliers.
- Hands-on experience with at least some of the tools above (Luma, Meetup.com, Telegram, StreamYard, Notion).
- Based in the Tel Aviv area; available onsite for events, including occasional evenings.
- Familiarity with developer communities, software engineering ecosystems, or Web3.
- Experience producing live streams or recorded content.
- Experience managing sponsor relationships and deliverables.
- Industry visibility: direct daily access to leading founders, venture investors, and engineering talent.
- Ownership: significant autonomy over the design, branding, and culture of prominent tech events.
- Team: a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment that values operational excellence and merit.
