We are looking for a Chief Compliance Officer who knows the SEC rulebook so well, they know exactly how to think outside the box with it.

About Us: Horizon is a VC-backed fintech startup (backed by Entrée Capital). We recently came out of stealth with over 23,000 traders signed up pre-launch. We are moving incredibly fast to redefine trading, and we need a heavy-hitting compliance expert to build our regulatory infrastructure.

The Role: In many companies, Compliance is the "Department of No." At Horizon, we need you to be the "Department of How." We are looking for a highly experienced CCO who can navigate complex US regulatory frameworks and find creative, legally bulletproof ways to launch new products, scale user acquisition, and drive business growth.

What you bring to the table:

• Deep SEC Expertise (Must): You have significant hands-on experience dealing with SEC regulations, filings, and compliance protocols.
• Internet Adviser Experience: Direct experience with the SEC Internet Investment Adviser exemption (Rule 203A-2) is a massive advantage.
• Out-of-the-Box Thinking: You don't just copy-paste standard corporate policies. You analyze the gray areas, assess risks intelligently, and design compliance frameworks tailored to a fast-scaling startup.
• Hands-On Execution: You are comfortable working independently. You will write the policies, set up the KYC/AML frameworks, and work directly with our Product and Growth teams to make things happen.

Flexibility: We care about your experience, not your desk location. This role is flexible- we are open to part-time, fully remote arrangements for the right expert.
