Position Summary: The Sr. Accountant will support the Finance function by developing and enhancing timely, accurate, and actionable reporting and analysis, while ensuring compliance with GAAP. This role will entail more technical aspects of the Accounting and Controlling functions of the company. The Sr. Accountant position requires previous accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or manufacturing environment, as well as strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills. The Sr. Accountant will work independently and in a team environment, collaborating with Accounts Payable, and other departments.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Vendor invoice and payment processing using Oracle Fusion ERP system.
• Work closely with Receiving and PO management team to resolve inventory receipt and other purchase order discrepancies.
• Maintain an accurate vendor master database in Oracle, including adding new vendors and confirming bank payment instructions. Subjected to individual delegation of duties with necessary cross-training as applicable.
• Assist the Israel Controller in development of monthly results and account analysis.
• Assist in monthly financial statement close process.
• Enter and update fixed asset (PP&E) records in Oracle for assets placed in service and depreciation projections.
• Responsibilities in various tax reporting and compliance filings, like monthly VAT.
• Assist in data gathering, analysis, and respond to audit requests and inquiries.
• Engage in and actively volunteer for continuous improvement projects and tasks.
• Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
• Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  
  

• Certified Bookkeeper or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred; and 5 years practical experience in either an operating/product-driven company, public accounting company, or mix required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, especially Excel. Operation in an ERP environment required, with specific experience with Oracle strongly preferred.
• Maintain a high level of customer service and personal integrity.
• Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form. Ability to effectively interact directly with senior management and other team members.

• Provide support to other team members within the Finance function as needed.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
