Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineer

A defense company is looking for an experienced Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineer to join its mechanical development team in Givat Shmuel.

About the role

You will design and develop mechanical packaging and ruggedized enclosures for complex systems, working closely with R&D, electronics, production, suppliers, and customers. The role includes hands-on mechanical analysis, production support, system integration, and occasional customer-site work in Israel and abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical packaging and enclosures for complex systems.
• Develop ruggedized enclosures, including thermal management solutions using passive and active cooling.
• Perform structural and thermal analyses using SolidWorks Simulation.
• Support electronic board development from a mechanical design and enclosure perspective.
• Support the transition from development to production.
• Work with subcontractors on mechanical manufacturing, inspection, and assembly.
• Support system integration and conduct on-site installations and technical support for customers.

Mandatory requirements

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical product development.
• Proven experience designing mechanical packaging or enclosures for complex systems.
• Hands-on experience personally performing both structural and thermal analyses.
• Experience with thermal management for enclosures, including passive and/or active cooling.
• Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks and experience with SolidWorks Simulation.
• Experience using a PDM system.
• High-level English.
• Ability to work on-site in Givat Shmuel, with no hybrid arrangement.
