Technical Lead

CRYMBO builds financial infrastructure connecting banking, payments, and digital assets. Our platform brings together money movement, trading, liquidity, wallets, and blockchain infrastructure through a distributed, integration-rich microservices architecture.

As we enter our next stage, we’re looking for a hands-on Tech Lead who combines engineering depth, people leadership, and strong product and business judgment to own our technical direction and lead how we design, build, and deliver.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll work closely with Product and experienced engineers who bring deep knowledge of our platform. You’ll have the authority to shape architecture, develop the team, and improve engineering practices—with clear accountability for outcomes.

• Architecture & Technology Strategy: Own the architecture and technical roadmap, balancing product priorities, infrastructure investment, and delivery.
• Team Leadership & Delivery: Manage and mentor engineers, build execution plans, develop technical ownership across the team, and drive reliable delivery.
• Product Partnership: Translate business objectives into technical solutions, make trade-offs explicit, and align on scope, dependencies, and timelines.
• Hands-on Engineering: Stay close to the code through implementation, design reviews, and code reviews. Lead the resolution of complex challenges across distributed financial systems.
• Security & Reliability: Own secure engineering practices, access controls, tenant isolation, secrets management, observability, and the response to technical risks and incidents.
• Engineering Processes & Controls: Improve testing, CI/CD, and release practices, using meaningful metrics to track quality, stability, and delivery performance.
• AI Across the Company & Product: Select and introduce AI tools, lead adoption across internal workflows, and deliver AI-powered product capabilities with clear quality, security, cost, and value measures.

• Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing people, with strong hands-on development skills.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript / Node.js and backend engineering, with experience designing distributed systems, microservices, and asynchronous workflows.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, REST APIs, and webhooks.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes, plus a practical understanding of CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
• Experience building financial systems, including transaction processing, data consistency, reconciliation, and failure recovery.
• Working knowledge of blockchain infrastructure, wallet operations, transaction lifecycles, and custody integrations.
• The ability to understand an existing platform, evaluate the decisions behind it, and lead thoughtful, incremental improvements.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical decisions clearly to engineers, leadership, and business partners.

We’re looking for practical experience implementing AI and building effective workflows around it:

• Familiarity with large language models, coding assistants, AI agents, and automation tools—and the judgment to choose the right approach for the problem.
• Experience introducing AI tools into engineering teams and internal operations, including training, adoption, and measuring results.
• Experience integrating models through APIs and connecting them to existing data, tools, and systems.
• A practical understanding of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), context management, and model tool use.
• The ability to take AI capabilities from prototype to production, with quality evaluations, monitoring, access controls, and cost management.

Blockchain: EVM, Bitcoin, Litecoin, Tron, Solana, Aptos

Experience with FIX connectivity, banking and payment integrations, trading and liquidity, MPC custody, or KYC/KYT integrations is a strong advantage.

We value depth in the core technologies and the ability to learn. We don’t expect prior experience with every tool in our stack.
