PC Technician

PC Technician | Educational Institutions | Sharon Area

We are looking for a PC Technician to provide hands-on IT support across educational institutions in the Sharon area.

The role includes installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computers and endpoint devices, operating systems and drivers, printers and scanners, basic network infrastructure, and Active Directory and Exchange environments.

This is a great opportunity for an early-career PC Technician looking to gain broad hands-on experience across a variety of IT systems and technologies.

What You'll Do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair desktop and laptop computers
• Install operating systems, system images, and drivers
• Install and support computer hardware, including HP equipment
• Install and troubleshoot local and network printers and scanners
• Install and support PCs, laptops, tablets, smartphones, digital cameras, and smart card readers
• Support active and passive network infrastructure
• Provide basic support for switches, routers, Wi-Fi, and IP telephony
• Work with multimedia systems, projectors, and low-voltage infrastructure
• Work with Active Directory and Exchange environments
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and endpoint issues

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a PC Technician or in endpoint support – up to approximately one year of experience, with flexibility based on background
• Knowledge of laptop troubleshooting and repair
• Experience installing operating systems, images, and drivers
• Familiarity with printers, scanners, and peripheral devices
• Basic networking knowledge
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Exchange
• Knowledge of Windows, iOS, and Android environments
• Valid driver's license and access to a car – required

Education

Candidates should meet one of the following criteria:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Another bachelor's degree combined with at least 100 hours of relevant computer training
• Practical Engineering diploma in Computers or Technology
• Technology-focused high school education or at least 150 hours of civilian technology training
• Relevant technology experience from military service
