Senior Full stack Engineer

Description

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer with deep expertise in React, Node.js, and TypeScript to help shape the architecture, performance, and quality of our products across the stack. We're a fast-paced company building high-traffic SaaS products used by many people at once. This role is highly hands-on: you'll build, optimize, and scale features from the database to the UI, take part in design and architecture decisions, and play a key role in code reviews and technical standards. AI-assisted development is at the core of how we work, so strong, hands-on experience with it is mandatory. We're looking for someone who takes ownership, holds themselves accountable for outcomes, and pushes things forward.

Responsibilities

• Use AI-assisted development (Cursor, Claude, agents) as a core part of your daily work: planning, coding, testing, reviewing, and debugging
• Help shape and improve our AI-driven engineering workflows, including prompts, agent setups, rules, and best practices the whole team can use
• Keep quality high in AI-generated code through thorough review, testing, and clear architectural boundaries
• Own and lead projects end-to-end, from data model and API design through UI implementation to production rollout and monitoring
• Contribute to the design and architecture of complex, large-scale SaaS applications across frontend and backend
• Be hands-on with React, Node.js, and TypeScript, setting high standards for code quality and maintainability
• Build fast, responsive, and scalable user experiences with React
• Drive performance optimization at the code, database, and client level in high-traffic, multi-user production environments
• Build and maintain scalable services on AWS, with PostgreSQL as the primary data store
• Stay production-aware: monitor, troubleshoot, and take responsibility for the health of what you ship
• Handle frequent context switching across projects and priorities without losing momentum
• Work closely with product, design, data, customer success, and other departments to turn business needs into working solutions

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software development, with strong experience on both frontend and backend
• Strong hands-on expertise with React, Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and AWS
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor, Claude) as a core part of the development workflow (mandatory)
• Proven experience optimizing performance in high-traffic, multi-user production environments (query tuning, indexing, caching, concurrency, frontend rendering performance)
• Solid background in system design and architecture, with the ability to make and explain technical trade-offs
• Proven track record of leading and delivering features and projects end-to-end
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and frequent context switching
• A strong sense of ownership and accountability: you follow through and deliver results
• A team player with strong communication skills who is comfortable working with many stakeholders across departments
• Highly motivated and drawn to challenges, with a bias for action and the drive to push things over the finish line

Nice to have

• Experience with Next.js
• Experience with performance monitoring and observability tools (frontend and backend)
• Familiarity with event-driven or distributed systems architectures
• Experience with design systems or component libraries
