Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

We’re looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join as a Partner to help build and scale an early-stage B2B AI SaaS company.

This is a hands-on, equity-based role with no salary initially.

We’ve developed an AI-powered business operations platform that brings sales, operations, and administration into one connected workspace - using AI agents to automate work and help businesses operate more efficiently.

Our initial focus is the Israeli market. With a working product, initial customer traction, and an existing development team, we’re looking for a technology partner to lead engineering and prepare the platform for high traffic, growing data volumes, and reliable operation at scale.

The company is led by a founder with over 15 years of experience in software development and leadership roles across different SaaS sectors.

The role

This is a hands-on CTO role. You’ll actively write and review code, shape the architecture, and workflows, troubleshoot production issues, and deliver features alongside the team, while owning technology strategy and engineering delivery.

You’ll lead and mentor our existing small development team, set priorities and engineering standards, and take responsibility for recruiting and growing the team as the company scales. Working closely with the founder, you’ll balance product delivery with performance, security, reliability, and infrastructure costs.

What we’re looking for

• At least 8 years of software development experience, including technical leadership and hands-on full-stack development.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js and NestJS, PHP and Laravel, Python, React, and TypeScript.
• Experience building and operating SaaS products, including APIs, integrations, databases, queues, and background processing.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and systems designed for high traffic.
• Practical experience with AI integrations, LLMs, and AI agents.
• Experience using Codex, Claude Code, and other AI development tools, with sound code review and validation practices.
• Experience with AWS and other cloud platforms, Linux, deployment pipelines, and CI/CD.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, logging, and production troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of mobile development and mobile-friendly product experiences.
• Familiarity with Jira, Slack, Postman, and modern development workflows.
• Experience working in startups, making practical decisions with limited resources, and taking responsibility from idea through production.

Location and compensation

You must be based in Israel. Work is remote at this stage.

This is an equity-based partnership with no salary initially. Future salaried compensation and office arrangements will be discussed as the company develops.
