Linux System Administrator

We are looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator to join a large-scale enterprise Production environment and take part in managing critical infrastructure, servers, virtualization platforms, and core systems.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and support Linux and Solaris servers in a large-scale enterprise Production environment.

• Perform hands-on work with physical servers, including installation, disassembly and assembly, replacement of basic hardware components such as fans and faulty parts, and troubleshooting hardware issues.

• Install Linux operating systems on both physical and virtual servers, including deployment, configuration, and ongoing administration.

• Manage and operate VMware / vCenter virtualization environments.

• Work with Red Hat, CentOS, and Solaris systems.

• Work within Red Hat OpenStack environments.

• Support and maintain ISP, DNS, and Mail infrastructures.

• Manage and operate HPOV monitoring and management systems.

• Troubleshoot and resolve system, hardware, and infrastructure issues while implementing performance and availability improvements.

• Lead and participate in infrastructure-related projects and work closely with multiple teams and stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator.

• Proven experience working in large and complex Production environments.

• Hands-on experience with physical servers, including installation, assembly/disassembly, hardware replacement, and troubleshooting physical server issues.

• Experience installing Linux operating systems on both physical and virtual servers.

• Hands-on experience managing and administering VMware / vCenter environments.

• Experience working with Red Hat, CentOS, and Solaris.

• Knowledge of Bash scripting.

• Experience working with HPOV- an advantage.

• Experience working with Splunk- an advantage.

• Familiarity with DNS / ISP environments- an advantage.

• Familiarity with HP server hardware- an advantage.

• Strong self-learning ability, troubleshooting skills, and excellent teamwork capabilities.
