The R&D environment is multidisciplinary, bringing together real-time low-level software, RF hardware, embedded signal processing, and operational edge compute. The offices are located in the Sharon area with direct shuttle services connecting to central train stations, operating on a hybrid model with two days working from home.

Role Description

• Serving as a Senior Python Infrastructure & Systems Software Engineer, joining an elite multidisciplinary team responsible for developing mission-critical counter-drone and electronic defense systems.
• Architecting and developing high-performance, low-latency software platforms in Python, implementing performance-critical components over Linux user-space utilizing multi-core and multi-threaded architectures.
• Driving low-level systems integration between software layers and specialized RF hardware, DSP pipelines, and computer vision / image processing algorithms.
• Implementing and optimizing real-time software modules to execute signal processing, machine vision, and drone telemetry tracking algorithms under strict operational field conditions.
• Developing robust On-Premise system architectures ensuring ultra-high reliability, low latency, and zero downtime in mission-critical deployments.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with Algorithm Researchers (DSP / CV), Hardware/RF Engineers, and Systems Architects to field-test and validate new operational features.

Requirements-

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software/Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent scientific field – OR an alumnus of an elite IDF technological unit – Mandatory
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with Python in production-grade systems – Mandatory
• Deep expertise in high-performance Python development (concurrency, multi-threading, multi-processing, asynchronous programming, memory management) over Linux environments – Mandatory
• Hands-on experience with C/C++ development OR direct practical experience interfacing software with hardware/embedded systems – Mandatory
• Strong multidisciplinary background collaborating with or implementing for DSP, RF systems, Image Processing, or Computer Vision algorithms – Significant Advantage
• Solid understanding of Linux OS internals, socket programming, user-space drivers, and low-latency system communication – Significant Advantage
• High ownership, problem-solving mindset, and experience building mission-critical or defense-grade real-time systems – Advantage
