Role Description

The Laboratory Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Be'er Sheva, supporting both Formulation Laboratory and Pilot Plant operations in the development, scale-up, and quality evaluation of crop protection products.

The role involves preparing samples, formulations, and reagents; performing routine laboratory tests and analyses; and operating and maintaining laboratory and pilot-scale equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities include supporting the preparation and evaluation of different formulation types, monitoring key physicochemical parameters and product stability, accurately recording and interpreting experimental data, and identifying trends or deviations in results.

In the Pilot Plant, the Laboratory Technician supports scale-up activities, preparation of pilot batches, operation of process equipment, monitoring of process parameters, and evaluation of products produced under pilot-scale conditions. The role contributes to the transition of formulations from laboratory development toward larger-scale manufacturing.

Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting experimental and process-related issues, collaborating with formulation scientists, engineers, technicians, and production teams, following quality control procedures, maintaining laboratory and pilot equipment and work areas, and complying with relevant safety, chemical-handling, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications

• Strong laboratory skills, including handling samples, preparing solutions, and following standard operating procedures.
• Experience with laboratory equipment operation, basic maintenance, and calibration in a scientific or industrial setting.
• Knowledge of quality control principles and practices to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Demonstrated analytical skills for interpreting data, identifying trends or anomalies, and documenting findings clearly.
• Practical experience working as a laboratory technician or in a similar technical role is highly beneficial.
• Diploma or degree in Chemistry, Biology, Agronomy, or a related scientific field.
• Familiarity with safety regulations, chemical handling, and good laboratory practice (GLP).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Basic computer skills for data entry, laboratory information systems, and documentation.
