About The Team

Our marketing organization is among the most ambitious in SaaS, managing hundreds of millions in annual spend across every major channel. Now, we’re transforming marketing into an engineering challenge.

We’re building Marko: an agentic marketing platform redefining how marketing operates at scale. The core challenge? Developing the AI infrastructure to let agents autonomously run campaigns, generate creative, allocate budgets, and optimize performance—with deep context, rigorous evaluation, stability, and safety essential for real-money, real-scale operations.

This is a problem that didn’t exist two years ago. How do you architect agent systems with the context and judgement for dozens of channels? How do you evaluate agent actions with slow feedback cycles? How do you enable agents to execute at 1000x human throughput—without permitting a single bad decision?

Our marketing department is becoming R&D driven. The marketing team brings domain expertise; you build the agents that multiply their impact. We’ve run AI agents in production for over a year using frameworks like OpenClaw, Hermes, and custom systems—proving the concept works. Now we’re building the platform.

What We’re Building

Marko is a single orchestration agent composed of specialized sub-agents, each owning a marketing function:

• Channel Sub-Agents: Google Ads, Meta, YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit, each with full API access, autonomous optimization, and enforced execution pipelines
• Capability Sub-Agents: Ad creative generation, banner localization, landing page building, content creation, cross-channel budget allocation, deep performance analysis
• Infrastructure Layers: Skill-based architecture (hot-reloadable playbooks), enforced pipelines, multi-tier approval gates, audit trails on every action, and feedback loops that improve skills over time
  
  

Our vision: a fully agentic marketing platform, where humans set goals and strategy, and the system executes, autonomously managing campaigns, generating creative, allocating budgets, and learning from results. People above the loop, not in it. Built on LangGraph orchestration and monday.com’s AI infrastructure—every action is audited, pipelines are enforced, and sub-agents have scoped permissions.

About The Role

As a founding engineer for Marko, you’ll build a production-grade autonomous system managing real money across major ad platforms, operating at the scale of one of SaaS’s largest marketing operations.

You Will:

• Own and build sub-agents end-to-end, from architecture to production. (E.g., design the Google Ads sub-agent to autonomously mine search terms, adjust bids, and rotate ad copy; build the creative sub-agent to generate, localize, and upload banners.)
• Design and implement agent infrastructure: enforced pipelines, skill hot-reload, approval gates with magnitude-based thresholds, and feedback loops for continuous skill improvement.
• Integrate deeply with marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta, YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit), building connectors, handling edge cases, and ensuring reliability at scale.
• Build the orchestration layer so Marko can route tasks to sub-agents, coordinate workflows, and handle conflicts (e.g., multi-step campaigns across several sub-agents).
• Work directly with marketing leadership, sitting at the intersection of engineering and marketing strategy—you’ll understand campaign economics, attribution models, and key success metrics.
• Experiment relentlessly: test new agent architectures, models, and frameworks. What works ships, what doesn’t teaches us. The playbook is being written in real time.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend and systems fundamentals
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs in production—you’ve shipped agent-based systems, LLM-powered workflows, or AI-native products handling real-world complexity
• Deep understanding of AI agent architecture: orchestration, state management, context design, tool calling, human-in-the-loop patterns
• Experience designing and building evaluation/feedback systems—you know why "it mostly works" isn’t enough for agents managing real budgets
• Proven systems thinker—able to design architectures where 15+ agents coordinate smoothly
• Strong API integration skills (complex third-party APIs, reliable and auditable integrations)
• Builder mentality: you ship, then iterate. This is a 0→1 role.
  
  

Strong Advantages

• Experience with agent frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar)
• Experience with digital marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads, YouTube)—campaign structures, bidding, attribution
• Knowledge of RAG architectures, vector embeddings, or information retrieval systems
• Background in data pipelines, ETL, or marketing analytics
• Experience with agentic AI in production (autonomous loops, self-evaluation, feedback-driven improvement)
• Strong Python and/or TypeScript skills
