DustPhotonics, now part of Credo, is a leading developer and manufacturer of silicon photonics solutions enabling the next generation of AI and cloud infrastructure.
Our technology powers high-speed optical connectivity for hyperscale datacenters, delivering industry-leading performance, scalability and reliability.
We are harnessing the power of light through silicon photonics to help fuel the next era of AI infrastructure.
As our technology moves toward scalable production, we are building a new Silicon Engineering organization to support this growth.
We are looking for a Test Engineering and Operations Manager to build and lead the Test Engineering team. This is a hands-on technical leadership role combining test equipment engineering, electro-optical testing, test-program ownership, Test House operations and production ramp.
The role will own the transition from development testing to a stable, repeatable and scalable production test operation, working closely with Engineering, Operations, external Test Houses and equipment suppliers.
This is a rare opportunity to build critical capabilities from the ground up and make a direct impact on the journey from innovation to production.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead the Test Engineering team while remaining hands-on with test equipment, systems, and technical challenges.
- Lead the assembly, installation, integration, qualification, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced test equipment.
- Define and own equipment and test-flow readiness, including calibration, correlation, repeatability, maintenance, spare parts, and release criteria.
- Ensure test programs are stable, controlled, repeatable, and optimized for test time, utilization, and production needs.
- Monitor test performance, yield, wafer maps, binning, data integrity, and traceability, and drive resolution of technical gaps.
- Lead cross-functional resolution of complex mechanical, electrical, optical, software, measurement and process issues.
- Own Test House capacity planning, scheduling, priorities, utilization, output and cycle-time performance.
- Manage technical relationships with external Test Houses, equipment suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
- Define production-ramp readiness, manage technical and operational risks, and drive the transition to stable volume production.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading Test Engineering teams or complex multidisciplinary engineering activities.
- Strong hands-on engineering background and willingness to work directly with test equipment, systems and technical issues.
- Experience with automated test systems, test-program development, equipment qualification, capacity planning, or Test House operations.
- Broad technical knowledge across disciplines such as electronics, mechanics, optics, automation, instrumentation, motion control, and software.
- Strong technical problem-solving, planning, supplier management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Experience in semiconductor or silicon photonics environments is a strong advantage; experience with other complex multidisciplinary systems may also be relevant.
