Field Services Engineer - Level 1

Job Purpose:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Start Up Engineer (Level 1) to join a leading global high-tech company specializing in advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

This is an entry-level role focused on supporting the start-up, installation, and commissioning of state-of-the-art semiconductor tools. Working under experienced guidance, you will develop foundational skills in semiconductor processes, equipment operations, and troubleshooting, ensuring equipment readiness and adherence to strict performance and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Start-up & Commissioning: Assist cross-functional engineering teams in the start-up, installation, and commissioning of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Planning & Execution: Support the development and execution of start-up schedules, plan activities, and coordinate necessary resources.
• Performance Evaluation: Assist in conducting technical assessments and performance evaluations of equipment to verify operational efficiency.
• Basic Troubleshooting: Help diagnose and resolve basic equipment issues during the start-up phase using root cause analysis under guidance.
• Process Monitoring: Monitor key process parameters, report observations, and contribute to process optimization initiatives.
• Documentation: Maintain precise documentation of start-up activities, equipment performance logs, issue reports, and corrective actions taken.
• Support & Collaboration: Participate in technical training sessions and provide operational support to end-users on new equipment and processes.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends and semiconductor technology advancements to offer ideas for continuous operational improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience: 0–2 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment start-up, or a multidisciplinary high-tech manufacturing environment (Fresh graduates with high potential are welcome to apply).
• Technical Understanding: Basic knowledge of semiconductor processes, equipment operations, and ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Problem-Solving: Exposure to basic troubleshooting and systematic problem-solving methods in a technical environment.
• Data & Tools: Basic proficiency in technical data analysis and familiarity with standard software tools.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills; eager to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Mobility: Willingness to travel frequently according to business requirements.
