Founding Backend Engineer

Founding Backend Engineer | AI x Cybersecurity | Stealth Startup

We're looking for a strong Backend Engineer to join the founding team of an early-stage cybersecurity startup building an AI-native platform for autonomous security remediation.

This is a rare opportunity to join among the company's first five hires, work directly with an experienced and highly technical founding team, and have meaningful influence over architecture, product, and engineering culture from day one.

The company was founded in 2026, recently raised a double-digit Seed round led by a top-tier Israeli VC, and is already working with Design Partners.

The founding team brings deep experience from elite Israeli cyber and technology units, alongside strong backgrounds in cybersecurity, software engineering, and early-stage startups.

At this stage, every engineer has significant ownership and real influence over how the product and engineering organization are built.

What you'll do

• Build core backend systems and infrastructure from the ground up.

• Own complex features end to end, from architecture and design through production.

• Work closely with Cyber and AI researchers to turn complex research into scalable product capabilities.

• Solve challenging problems around scalability, reliability, security, and complex enterprise environments.

• Take part in key architectural and technical decisions as one of the first engineers in the company.

• Help shape the engineering foundations and standards as the team grows.

We're looking for

• Strong experience building production-grade Backend systems.

• Excellent software engineering fundamentals and strong system design skills.

• Hands-on experience with backend infrastructure, distributed systems, APIs, and large-scale production environments.

• Experience with Go, Python, or similar backend technologies.

• High ownership, independence, and comfort working in an early-stage environment.

• Strong product mindset and the ability to work closely with highly technical stakeholders.

• Motivation to join at a stage where there is still a lot to build, define, and influence.

Strong advantages

• Technical service in elite Israeli technology or cyber units such as MATZOV, Talpiot, 8200, Unit 81, or equivalent units.

• Previous experience in a cybersecurity company.

• Experience in early-stage startups or founding engineering teams.

• Experience with AI, LLMs, Agents, or AI-native products.

• A track record of taking meaningful technical ownership.
