Software Engineer | Early-Stage AI Startup

We’re looking for a Software Engineer ( Backend-Oriented) to join the core engineering team of an early-stage AI startup building a complex B2B product used in real-world, high-impact environments.

This is a highly hands-on role with significant ownership — from architecture and backend systems to web applications and AI-powered autonomous agents.

You’ll join a small, strong team where engineers are expected to think beyond individual tickets, own problems end-to-end, and help shape the way the product and engineering organization are built.

What you’ll do

• Own and build features end-to-end, from architecture to production
• Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, asynchronous workflows, and web applications
• Build AI Agents that collect data, analyze information, validate results, and autonomously execute workflows
• Help define engineering standards around code quality, scalability, security, and observability
• Take an active part in code reviews, technical decisions, and engineering best practices
• Work closely with a small multidisciplinary team in a fast-moving startup environment

What we’re looking for

• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong Backend or Full Stack engineering background
• Hands-on experience building and operating production systems
• Strong understanding of APIs, asynchronous processes, queues, monitoring, and system architecture
• Experience with Python
• Experience with React / Next.js, Node.js, or similar web technologies
• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP
• Strong understanding of Web Applications and Client-Server architecture
• High standards for code quality and the ability to review and evaluate production code
• Previous professional experience in the tech industry
• Independent, curious, adaptable, and comfortable working in a small and relatively unstructured environment

Nice to have

• Experience in AI Engineering
• Hands-on work with AI Agents / Agentic systems
• Experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar
• Background combining Software Engineering with Data / ML
• Experience building complex products in data-heavy environments

This is not a pure research role.

We’re looking for a strong product engineer who enjoys building real systems, taking ownership, and working at the intersection of Software Engineering and AI.
